A. I hear he spends a lot of time hanging out with Chuck, the older brother of Richie Cunningham on "Happy Days." Mingo's final appearance came in a February 29, 1968 episode called he Prophet Orlando." There were four more episodes that season, but his abrupt disappearance wasw not explained. In real life, actor Ed Ames left the series after completing 50 episodes as Daniel Boone's sidekick. Ames, who had been a member of The Ames Brothers singing group, took classes at UCLA and released some solo albums. He also has had guest spots on numerous TV series since then.
