Go Girls is a New Zealand comedy/drama television series centering around four adult friends, Amy, Britta, Cody and Kevin, who live on the North Shore, Auckland. Dissatisfied with their lives, they make challenging promises to each other that they endeavour to fulfill throughout the series. The first series began airing on February 19th 2009 TV2 in New Zealand and concluded on May 17th 2009. The first series of Go Girls has also been screened in Australia, with the first episode screening August 8th 2009, right after So You Think You Can Dance on Network Ten. On April 29, 2009 TVNZ and NZ On Air confirmed that the show had been commissioned for a second series due to strong ratings and its dominance of its Thursday 8.30pm timeslot . The second series is currently airing in New Zealand, having started on March 18th 2010. The show was created by Rachel Lang, responsible for the popular Outrageous Fortune television series, and Gavin Strawhan (Burying Brian). Q. One of the social issues in today's society is the way guys or girls look at the other sex. For example, most of today's girls like guys who have muscular bodies, olive skin, and dark hair. When it comes to wooing the opposite sex, men have it easy. Women, on the other hand play a whole different game. Sometimes it seems as if our entire existence is based on impressing a guy. And it s exhausting.
